On May 26, HoriPro announced that actress Fukada Kyoko will be taking a break from her activities for the time being after her diagnosis with adjustment disorder.
According to the announcement, Fukada tended to get sick frequently since last spring and was diagnosed with adjustment disorder earlier this year. "For the time being, she will prioritize treatment and take a break from work," they stated.
Consequently, Fukada has stepped down from Fuji TV's drama series which was scheduled to begin this July. HoriPro commented, "We sincerely apologize for the great deal of inconvenience caused to all persons concerned. We would like to support Fukada Kyoko as much as possible."
Meanwhile, Fukada's starring film 'Lupin's Daughter: The Movie' is scheduled to open in theaters on October 15.
