On August 24th, SKE48 announced that member Furuhata Nao (24) has tested positive for COVID-19. She is currently resting at home. 

According to the health center, there were no members or staff that were considered to be persons of close contact. However, they have cancelled their appearance in the event '@JAM EXPO 2020-2021' and postponed Coming Flavor's concert on the 26th at Shinjuku BLAZE as there is a risk in moving a large number of people to Tokyo. 

Furuhata's upcoming online talk and digital photo session has also been postponed. "We are very sorry to everyone who had been looking forward to the event. We kindly ask for your understanding," they said. 

In addition, considering the continuing spread of COVID-19, SKE48 have cancelled their 'SKE48 13th Anniversary Festival 2021' on the 25th and 26th at Nippon Gaishi Hall.
