Former Nogizaka46 member Ito Karin (28) has been diagnosed with COVID-19. 

According to her official website, Ito first started experiencing symptoms, such as a low-grade fever and cough, on January 11th. She conducted the PCR test on the same day and learned that she was infected with the virus. The announcement was not made right away as the recent increase in positive cases delayed her consultation with the health center and the determination of close contacts.

Ito's symptoms have subsided, but she will continue to recuperate under instruction of the health center.
