On February 4, it was officially announced that Kanjani8 has changed their group name to SUPER EIGHT.

The name change comes in the wake of the Kitagawa Johnny sexual abuse scandal. This year, SUPER EIGHT is celebrating 20 years since their CD debut. On January 24, they released "Anthropos," their last single under the name Kanjani8.
