Former SKE48 member Ruka Kitano (26) announced on March 31 via her official X account that she has gotten married and departed from her talent agency.

In a handwritten statement, Kitano shared, "This is a personal matter, but I would like to announce that I have gotten married. At the same time, I have also left the agency that has supported me for many years, effective today."

She continued, "I am here today thanks to the support of my fans and everyone involved. Thank you always. I will continue to pursue my career in entertainment in a new environment while staying true to myself. It would make me happy if you would please continue to watch over me warmly."

Kitano joined SKE48 as a sixth-generation member in November 2012 and graduated from the group on June 30, 2024. Since then, she has expanded her career as an actor and television personality. On September 11, 2024, she released her first photo book, 'Furete, Miru?' then in July 2025, she landed her first lead role in the TV drama, 'Gurapara!,' which was accompanied by a collaborative photo book release.
