He began by talking about his state of mind after the group's final performance with, "I was spending my new days while�sometimes closing my eyes, opening my ears, and carefully holding those reverberations."� He also revealed that he has been given an offer to appear on TBS music program "Ongaku no Hi," and that even after the group disbanded, he was told that many people would still like to hear the group's songs.� Kato fully acknowledged this and after consideration and questioning himself repeatedly, he came to a decision.
"Ongaku no Hi" is TBS TV's big concept program and it will air on June 29 for the 3rd�time ever.�Nakai Masahiro�(40) and TBS announcer�Azumi Shinichiro�(39) serve as the program's hosts and the program's homepage states that the concept is, "To gather the power of song and spread it through Japan."� The program begins airing at 2 PM and ends at 5 AM the following day, which totals more than 13 hours of air time.� There are 100 groups of singers on the program, and on June 27, it was announced that "Funky Kato" would appear.
