Actress Chika Hanafusa (35) has announced her retirement from the entertainment industry.

Hanafusa shared the news on Instagram on September 2, revealing that she left her agency and officially retired from the entertainment industry on August 31.

She expressed her gratitude to her agency for supporting her throughout her career and thanked fans for their continued support over the years.

Hanafusa added that she plans to continue using Instagram to casually share moments from her private life.

Born in Osaka in 1990, Hanafusa appeared in television series including Kasouken no Onna and Mito Komon. She also served as a regular reporter on ABC TV's morning program Ohayo Asahi Desu.
