Fuji TV's highly anticipated drama, "Ooku," set to premiere on January 18, 2024, has unveiled the visuals of its main cast members. The series, depicting the intense power struggle among women over the 10th shogun, Ieharu Tokugawa, is set in the mid-Edo period.
Kazuya Kamenashi, a member of KAT-TUN, takes on the pivotal role of Ieharu Tokugawa, the 10th shogun, marking his first appearance in a historical drama. Fuka Koshiba portrays Rinko Isonomiya, the daughter of a court noble forced into a loveless political marriage with Ieharu.
Nanase Nishino, former member of Nogizaka46, and Aoi Morikawa portray attendants to Rinko.
Adding to the cast is Ryota Miyadate from Snow Man, making his debut in a drama series by portraying Sadanobu Matsudaira, the lord of the Shirakawa clan engaged in a rivalry with Ieharu.
