Former Nogizaka46 member Maaya Wada announced on April 13 via her Instagram that she has gotten married.

Alongside photos of herself in traditional bridal attire, Wada wrote, "This is a personal matter, but I would like to announce that I have married a man who works in media production, whom I have been dating for some time."

Reflecting on her time since joining Nogizaka46, she shared, "My life changed completely, and there were times when both my mind and body struggled to keep up with the new environment. But looking back, everything led to the happiness I feel today."

She continued, "The support from everyone who has always been there for me has been a great source of strength. I am truly grateful to all the members, staff, and everyone I met through my activities."

Wada concluded, "I will continue to move forward step by step in my own way. I would be happy if you continue to watch over me warmly. Thank you for your continued support."

Wada joined Nogizaka46 as a first-generation member in 2011. She graduated from the group in 2022 and established her company, kabo Inc., in 2023.
