THE RAMPAGE's Kenta Kamiya has revealed that he suffers from cluster headaches, a rare and extremely painful condition.
In a recent Instagram post, Kamiya asked, "Do you know the term 'cluster headaches'?" He described the condition as affecting approximately 0.1% of the population and noted that it is often referred to as one of the "three most severe pains in the world," alongside kidney stones and heart attacks.
He shared that he has been living with the condition for over 10 years, with episodes typically occurring once every two years and lasting about a month. "This year, I entered a cluster period about a week ago," he revealed.
Kamiya said he chose to speak out after learning that other artists and public figures have also shared their experiences. "Knowing that others are fighting the same condition has given me courage," he said, adding that he hopes raising awareness will also help others.
He concluded with a message to those who are going through similar experiences, "It's really tough, but let's keep going together and hope for brighter days."
In a follow-up post, Kamiya reassured fans that he is doing well outside of attacks, writing, "When I’m not having an episode, I’m totally fine."
