The 'Sanrio Character Ranking' is an annual popularity contest featuring selected Sanrio characters, with rankings determined by votes from fans around the world. This year's event includes 90 characters.

Created in 2009, yoshikitty has gained widespread popularity not only in Japan but also internationally, achieving a highest overall ranking of No. 3. The character has also performed strongly overseas, ranking No. 1 in countries such as Thailand and Germany, and No. 2 in Italy and France.
