flumpool drummer Seiji Ogura has announced that he will suspend his live performance activities for the time being.
According to an announcement from the band, Ogura began experiencing difficulty moving his left arm and other discomfort while playing drums several years ago. After seeking medical evaluation, he was informed that his symptoms may be related to dystonia, a neurological movement disorder that can affect muscle control.
Ogura commented, "For now, I will focus on my treatment and recovery so that I can one day return to performing live with the other members again."
While Ogura will step away from live performances, he will continue to participate in promotional activities surrounding flumpool's upcoming concept EP "Koko kara no Uta," scheduled for release on June 24.
The band's nationwide hall tour, which begins on September 12, will proceed with a support drummer. Additional details, including information regarding ticket refunds related to Ogura's hiatus from live performances, will be announced at a later date.
