'Witch Hat Atelier' has officially been renewed for a second season.
Based on the manga by Kamome Shirahama, 'Witch Hat Atelier' follows Coco, a village girl who dreams of becoming a witch. After discovering that anyone can use magic by drawing special Casting Seals, she becomes the apprentice of the mysterious witch Qifrey and begins her journey into the hidden world of magic. Rena Motomura voices Coco, while Natsuki Hanae plays Qifrey.
The announcement was made following the broadcast of Episode 13, the anime's season finale, on June 29. To mark the occasion, Shirahama shared a newly illustrated end card and teased that the story has plenty more in store.
A new Blu-ray jacket illustration drawn by Shirahama, featuring Qifrey and Olruggio, was also unveiled. The second Blu-ray volume is scheduled for release on September 30.
Details regarding the release date for Season 2 have yet to be announced.
